Title: Account Director
Reports to: VP, Client Services

Position Summary:
The Account Director is responsible for managing high revenue accounts and supervising her/his account teams and their resources. Central to the Account Director's responsibility is fostering strong client relationships, ensuring strategic integrity, and training the account team in this regard. The individual is responsible for development of ongoing business on their accounts.

General and Daily Responsibilities:
  • Masters the art of building strong relationships with clients and ensures their needs and marketing goals are met
  • Partners with other departments to ensure a strong, cohesive team
  • Understands product clinical data, competitive landscape, and customer insights to develop comprehensive brand plans and pull through brand strategy
  • Responsible for planning and execution of promotional initiatives with an integrated multi-channel approach with the support of account team
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of client’s business to anticipate marketing and advertising challenges and opportunities
  • Lead client meetings, interface executive level and middle management level on client side during meetings and presentations
  • Leads and mentors account team, identifies resourcing needs, and communicates account and team health to leadership
  • Identify and foster department and team members’ opportunities for growth, proactively managing the team.
  • Responsible for account P&L and ensuring the profitability of accounts based on agency income- incudes estimating, monitoring, financial tracking, forecasting, and billing
  • Motivates, leads, and manages internal teams, working collaboratively to drive deliverables that meet our clients’ performance and business objectives
  • Representing the agency when interacting with the client, and effectively communicating and selling the agency’s ideas, recommendations, and programs
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 5-7 years of agency experience (healthcare experience preferred)
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
  • Proven experience as an account director or similar position
  • An obsessive attention to detail while tracking toward the bigger picture
  • A deep understanding of the different approaches to marketing to patients vs. HCPs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Team player who partners with all departments to ensure the team functions at a high level
  • Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure
  • Comfortable creating presentations and presenting in front of clients
  • Strong planning and project management capabilities
